L’Homme Libre is a masculine fragrance by Yves Saint Laurent. The scent was launched in 2011 and the fragrance was created by perfumers Carlos Benaim and Olivier Polge.
Libre opens with Calabria Bergamot, Nutmeg, Pink Pepper; in the middle violet leaf accord, grand vert basil, star anise are present while Indonesia patchouli, Haiti vetiver and Leather wraps up the base.
L’Homme Libre, as was pointed out in another review, reminds me of Christian Dior Fahrenheit. It’s long lasting, deep and pungent, with the sweet note of the original YSL L’Homme nestled nicely within.
This scent stands on its own, but it happens to be a great retake on the YSL L’Homme mystique.
